On the south shore, anglers are still having their best luck out deep in 30+ feet of water. Getting away from crowds has been the ticket for good consistent action. Bright spoons tipped with a fathead, and a bobber rod, with a full minnow close by has been the way to go. Use electronics to your advantage, a lot of the nicer fish have been caught suspended several feet off bottom. Traveling off of paved roads is a little difficult with the rough ice, but snowmobiles and tracked vehicles are getting along just fine.
