My name is Austin Mesenbrink, I grew up in Crosslake, Minnesota and graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 2015. I then went on to play baseball and attend college at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. I grew up hunting and fishing as many different species as I possibly could. I have hunted a wide variety of game animals, from small game, waterfowl, deer, turkey, and elk, and hope to add more to the list over time. On the fishing side of things, I grew up in an area with a lot of lakes and different species of fish, so I was able to learn a lot of different techniques on how to help catch fish in certain situations. I would also make trips up to Lake of the woods with friends and family to fish this great fishery. While most of that was mostly on the Canadian side, I also had some experience fishing the south shore, so when an opportunity to live up in this area came up, I couldn’t refuse!Social media has been a great tool for me to keep up to date with all the new fishing and hunting products that are coming out, and learning how they might be useful. It has also been a great way to communicate with other people who are also in the industry.
