Along the South Shore, the northern pike fishing has heated up, with anglers finding them anywhere from 3-12 feet of water as they get ready to go up into the creeks and rivers, that feed into the lake, to spawn. A mix of bait, live suckers and frozen smelt, has been working well.Walleye fishing has been most productive in the mornings and evenings, on top of structure, using jigging baits tipped with fatheads and frozen shiners.
