It was another great weekend for fishing! The fish throughout the day were somewhat scattered, so staying active and moving around different reefs and depths to stay on active fish seemed to produce the best results. Technique didn’t seem to make a huge difference, catching them jigging, pulling spinners, and slip bobbers, however all the bigger fish came vertically jigging with frozen shiners in the 24-30′ range. The best depth for pulling spinners was a little shallower, staying around 14-20′ around rock structure. As the water warms up, I expect more fish to be pushing deeper out to the mud, and will turn to more of a spinner/crawler and crank bait bite.
