Suppressor Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: October 2026

Thank you for purchasing a suppressor (“silencer”) from The Woods Sporting Goods. Due to the highly regulated nature of National Firearms Act (NFA) items, special terms and conditions apply to all suppressor purchases. By purchasing a suppressor through The Woods Sporting Goods, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.

Suppressor Sales Are Final

All suppressor sales are final.

Once a suppressor purchase has been initiated and ATF paperwork has been submitted, the order cannot be returned or exchanged. After the suppressor has been transferred to the purchaser, it cannot be returned, even if unused, unfired, or in original packaging.

Any defects, damage, or performance concerns after transfer must be addressed directly through the suppressor manufacturer’s warranty process.

NFA Item Cancellation Policy

Customers may request cancellation of a suppressor purchase only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Cancellation request is made within 30 days of purchase.
  • No ATF Form 4, eForm 4, or other NFA paperwork has been submitted.
  • The suppressor has not been transferred.

Approved cancellations are subject to:

A cancellation and processing fee equal to 25% of the purchase price or $200, whichever is greater.

Once ATF paperwork has been submitted, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded except where required by law.

Customer Participation Requirement

The suppressor purchasing process requires active participation from the customer.

Customers must provide:

  • Valid identification
  • Fingerprints (when required)
  • Passport-style photographs (when required)
  • ATF-required information
  • Digital signatures and documentation

Failure to respond to requests for information, complete required documentation, or participate in the submission process may result in cancellation of the order at The Woods Sporting Goods’ sole discretion.

Cancelled orders due to customer inactivity may be subject to the cancellation fees outlined above.

ATF Denials

If an ATF application is denied because the purchaser is legally prohibited from possessing a suppressor:

  • The suppressor purchase price may be refunded.
  • Any non-refundable fees, processing fees, transfer fees, fingerprinting fees, or administrative costs will be deducted.
  • A processing fee of 25% of the purchase price or $200, whichever is greater, may apply.

Refund processing times may take up to 30 business days.

ATF Delays and Processing Times

The Woods Sporting Goods does not control:

  • ATF approval times
  • eForm processing times
  • Background check processing times
  • Delays caused by government agencies

Any estimated approval timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

The purchaser acknowledges that approval times may extend beyond initial estimates.

Manufacturer Warranty

The Woods Sporting Goods does not provide additional warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturer.

All warranty claims must be submitted directly to the suppressor manufacturer.

Warranty coverage, repair eligibility, replacement decisions, and turnaround times are solely determined by the manufacturer.

Defective Products

If a suppressor appears to have a manufacturing defect:

  1. Contact the manufacturer immediately.
  2. Follow the manufacturer’s warranty procedures.
  3. Do not ship any NFA item without receiving proper authorization from the manufacturer.

The Woods Sporting Goods is not responsible for warranty administration, repair authorization, or warranty claim outcomes.

Transfer and Possession Requirements

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to possess a suppressor under:

  • Federal law
  • State law
  • Local law

The Woods Sporting Goods reserves the right to refuse any transfer if legal eligibility cannot be verified.

Shipping Policy

Suppressors will not be shipped or transferred until:

  • ATF approval has been received.
  • All applicable forms have been completed.
  • Background checks have been successfully completed.
  • All federal, state, and local requirements have been met.

Adult identification and signature may be required where permitted by law.

Address Changes

Customers must notify The Woods Sporting Goods immediately if they change:

  • Residence address
  • Mailing address
  • Legal name
  • Trust information (if applicable)

Changes after submission of ATF paperwork may result in delays, additional paperwork, or additional fees.

Lost, Stolen, or Missing Shipments

If a suppressor shipment is believed to be lost, stolen, or missing:

  • The customer must immediately contact both the carrier and The Woods Sporting Goods.
  • Theft must be reported to law enforcement when applicable.
  • Resolution timelines will depend on carrier investigations and applicable regulations.

The Woods Sporting Goods is not responsible for loss or theft after confirmed delivery.

Trust Purchases

Customers purchasing through a Gun Trust are solely responsible for ensuring:

  • Their trust is legally valid.
  • Trust documents are current and accurate.
  • Responsible persons are properly disclosed.

The Woods Sporting Goods is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice regarding trusts, estate planning, or NFA compliance.

Customers should consult a qualified attorney with any legal questions.

Privacy and Data Collection

To process suppressor purchases, customers may be required to provide personal information including:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Date of birth
  • Contact information
  • Government-issued identification
  • ATF-required documentation

This information is collected solely to complete the transaction, process required paperwork, maintain regulatory compliance, and communicate order status.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Woods Sporting Goods shall not be liable for:

  • ATF delays
  • Government processing delays
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Warranty claim outcomes
  • Shipping carrier delays
  • Customer-provided information errors
  • Lost profits or consequential damages

Customer liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the suppressor purchase.

Policy Changes

The Woods Sporting Goods reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

The version published on our website at the time of purchase shall govern the transaction.
